International WaterCentre (IWC)

The International WaterCentre (IWC), a joint venture of four leading Australian universities, provides education and training, applied research and consulting to develop capacity and promote whole-of-water cycle approaches to integrated water management around the world. 


The Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID)

The Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) is the Australian Government agency responsible for managing Australia's overseas aid program. AusAID is an Executive Agency within the Foreign Affairs and Trade portfolio and reports to the Minister for Foreign Affairs. The objective of the Australian aid program is to assist developing countries reduce poverty and achieve sustainable development, in line with Australia's national interest.


International WaterForum

The key role of the International WaterForum is to be a catalyst to improve the business of water and river management. This is achieved through facilitating opportunities that provide professional development, knowledge sharing, networking and recognition of excellence that supports a ‘community of practice’ within water and river management.



 WaterAid Australia

WaterAid is an international NGO with a vision of a world where everyone has access to safe water and sanitation. WaterAid currently works in 26 countries in Africa, Asia and the Pacific. and transforms lives by improving access to safe water, hygiene and sanitation in the world's poorest communities. We work with partners and influence decision-makers to maximise our impact.  Together with improved hygiene, these basic human rights underpin health, education and livelihoods, forming the first essential step in overcoming poverty.



Institute for Sustainable Futures

The Institute for Sustainable Futures was established as a flagship research institute of the University of Technology, Sydney in 1996. The Institute leads research in the development sector including a focus on water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) policy and programming, climate change, urban development, monitoring and evaluation and development effectiveness more broadly.
